About Creativity for Hope

Creativity is a form of meditation.

Quiet the noise in your head. Create. Find your answers.

Embrace the creative process, not perfection.

At Creativity for Hope, we believe something powerful happens when you make something with your hands.

You slow down. Your mind gets a little quieter. Your thoughts and emotions have somewhere to go. And in that creative space, you can begin to reconnect with yourself, hear your intuition, and discover new perspectives.

It doesn't matter whether you're journaling, lettering, painting, making stickers, crafting, or trying something completely new.

You don't need to be an artist. You don't even need to think you're creative.
It's not about what you make. It's about what making makes possible.

Our mission is to help people experience the power of creating as a way to reconnect with themselves, find clarity, and bring more joy and hope into their lives.

My Story

Hi, I'm Katie! I'm the founder of Creativity for Hope, an artist, maker, and Certified Gifted Intuitive Coach™.

I've always loved making things. From calligraphy and journaling to painting, paper crafts, and trying just about any creative project I can get my hands on, creating has always brought me joy.

But in 2021, creativity became something much more meaningful.

When my husband was diagnosed with sarcoma, I found myself navigating fear, uncertainty, and a future I couldn't control.

I made a commitment to create one piece of art every day for an entire year.

What started as a simple daily practice became something that changed my life.
I discovered that when I was creating, my mind could finally slow down. I could step away from the constant worry, give my emotions somewhere to go, and reconnect with myself.

Creativity didn't make my problems disappear. But it gave me space to breathe, process what I was feeling, and find hope even during difficult moments.

Thankfully, my husband is now cancer-free.

Since then, life has brought more changes especially in 2026 where I pivoted away from my 25-year career in biotechnology, lost my father to leukemia, and had our beloved family dog pass away. All these changes led me back to creativity to manage the massive changes and ultimately new chapter of my life.

And through all the change, I keep coming back to creating.

Sometimes I journal. Sometimes I paint, letter, make stickers, or experiment with a completely new craft.

And I've realized something important.
The magic isn't just in the finished product. It's in the process of making it.

Creating is my form of meditation.
It's how I quiet the noise in my head, connect with my intuition, and make room for my own answers to emerge.
And that's why I created Creativity for Hope.

I want to help you discover what creativity can do for you.

Through creative projects, mindful-making experiences, journaling, and coaching, I invite you to slow down, explore, and reconnect with yourself.

No pressure to be perfect. No need to make something beautiful.

Just the freedom to create and discover what happens along the way. Because you already have the answers you are seeking as you navigate your own changes in life. You just need guidance on how to unlock what is within you.

And when we find our own answers, we are led back to hope. Because I believe hope isn't just something we wait for.

Hope is something we create.

Join us to as we embrace the creative process and see what magic unfolds!

With hope and love,

Katie

When was Creativity for Hope founded?

Founded in 2021!

What is so special about creativity? Why does it matter?

Creativity is deeply important because it connects your mind, heart, and hands. It creates a genuine connection within yourself that A.I. can never replace. You cultivate a connection with yourself that isn't influenced by social media or A.I. You can take back your life from the algorithm!

What exactly is your higher self?

Your higher self is your connection to Source. It leads you to your heart's true desires. People also call their higher selves their spirit.
